Local editing function based on external model

Since the external model generation function is provided, how to edit the images generated by the external model? Currently, we can only use v3 to edit these, but the effect of v3 is completely different and the style cannot be unified. I hope that the image editing function can be added to the external image generation function, which will definitely be great.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback!
Could you please clarify are you asking about editing specific parts of a generated image (inpainting)?
We have a prompt-based image editing (not inpainting) powered by leading external models, including GPT-4o and Flux Kontext, You can find more details in this article: https://www.recraft.ai/blog/introducing-prompt-based-editing-the-ingenious-shortcut-for-your-ai-images

Olga yes, image editing. I've used both. I know 4o and Kontext. 4o completely changes the original image when editing content, while Kontext can't do precise replacements or quickly change specific areas like a smudge mask. Especially when editing a large area, Kontext is worse than flux.1 fill and ideogram . V3 is too raw. When editing an area or changing the background, it's obviously not the same style as the original image. So I hope to add editing based on external models when smudge editing. Currently, the default is V3 raw

I’m simply offering a small piece of feedback based on my own experience, and I also genuinely hope that Recraft can go further and achieve long-term success.
